Artist Biography

Ellery Ekleberry is a sculptural artist exploring relationships and focusing on ceramic medium and exploring  focusing on atmospheric firings. Born in 1996 in Texas, she moved to Michigan to attend Albion College in 2014. During her time at Albion College, she received two ten-week summer research grants to build her portfolio and studio practice. Ekleberry went on to receive her Bachelors in Fine Arts in 2018, focusing in ceramics with an Art History minor. She continued her education at the University of Colorado at Boulder, pursuing a Post-Baccalaureate program in Ceramics in 2019. During the global shift of the pandemic, Ekleberry moved to New England to continue her education and the development of her work at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Her love of atmospheric finishes has driven a lot of the work she has gone on to create.
